For local businesses that already have a website: Get Found is a monthly plan that helps people nearby find you when they search for what you do. We look after your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your listings and your local pages, and send you a short report each month in plain English.

What local SEO means here

When someone searches for “nail salon near me” or “plumber near me”, Google shows a map with a few businesses on it, then a list of websites. Local SEO is the work that decides whether your business is one of them.

Google says what it looks at: relevance (how well your profile matches the search), distance (how far you are from the person searching) and prominence (how well known your business is). You can’t change distance. You can change the other two, with a complete profile, real reviews, the same details everywhere you are listed, and a website that says clearly what you do and where you do it.

We work with businesses in Concord and around the East Bay. The plan suits trades that people find on a map: contractors and home services, nail salons and spas, and restaurants.

What the Get Found plan covers

  • Your Google Business Profile, set up and kept current. Hours, services, photos and posts. Holiday hours get changed before the holiday, not after a customer drives over to a locked door.
  • Review requests that go out on their own. After a visit or a finished job, the request is sent through your booking or job tool. Nobody has to remember to ask.
  • Your name, address and phone the same everywhere. Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Facebook. When these disagree, customers get the wrong number or the wrong hours, and search engines get mixed signals about which one is right.
  • Pages for the nearby towns you actually serve. Each one says something true about your work there. It is not the same page with the town name swapped.
  • A short monthly report in plain English. What we changed, how many people called you, asked for directions or visited your site from your profile, and what we would do next.

Get Found is a monthly plan we offer once your website is live. The person who sets up your profile is the same person who writes your report, and the same person you talk to when something changes.

One detail that matters for contractors: if you work from home and go to your customers, Google lets you show a service area instead of a street address. Your home address stays private, and you still show up for the towns you serve.

What we will not do

  • Buy or fake reviews. Not from friends, not from a service, not by offering a discount for five stars.
  • Invent locations or addresses. No profile at a mailbox, a virtual office or an address where you don’t serve customers.
  • Promise a ranking or a position. Nobody controls where Google puts you. In Google’s own words, “There’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google.”
  • Stuff town names into your pages. A block of twenty town names at the bottom of a page looks like spam to Google and to your customers.

The reason is simple. Google suspends profiles that break its rules, and a suspended profile drops off the map. Getting it back means an appeal, with no promise that it works. The shortcuts are not worth that risk to a business that depends on being found nearby.

When Get Found is the wrong answer

  • You don’t have a website yet. Start with the website. A profile that points to nowhere, or only to a social media page, loses the people who want to check you out before they call.
  • You can’t take more customers. If you are booked solid, more people finding you just means more people told no. Come back when you have room.
  • You have no local service area. If you only sell online, or serve customers across the country, the map is not where your customers look. Local SEO is for businesses that customers visit, or that go to customers nearby.

Not sure which side you fall on? Tell us about your business and we will say so plainly.

How this relates to your website

Get Found is about your profile, your listings and your local pages. The technical side of the website itself is a different job: whether search engines can read it, how each page describes itself, and how fast it loads. That work is covered on our technical SEO page. Sites we build start with those basics in place. If you have an older site with deeper problems, that page explains what we look for.

What it has looked like for real clients

A salon that had changed hands came with a website built by the previous owner. We rebuilt it, and we took local search seriously: pages built around what people nearby actually type, and the listings and profiles that decide whether a local business appears at all. In the words of that case study, “Visibility in local search improved and online visits went up.”

For a nail studio in the East Bay, the local search work means pages built around what people in the surrounding towns actually search for, and review requests that go out automatically after a visit through the booking system, instead of depending on someone remembering to ask at the counter.

Common questions

Can you get my business to the top of Google Maps?

No one can promise that. Google decides, and distance to the person searching is part of it. What we can do is fix the things you control and show you each month what changed.

How long before I see a difference?

Anyone who gives you a date is guessing. Some fixes, like wrong hours or a missing category, can help quickly. Reviews and local pages build up over months. The monthly report lets you watch it happen instead of taking it on faith.

I already have a Google Business Profile. Do I have to give it to you?

No. You stay the owner. You add us as a manager, which lets us keep it up to date, and you can remove us at any time. We never need your Google password.

Can you get a bad review taken down?

Only if it breaks Google’s rules, and then Google decides, not us. We can report it. For an honest bad review, the best answer is a short, calm reply, and more good reviews after it.

Is this part of the website plan?

No, it is a separate monthly plan. The website comes first. Get Found is for when the site is live and you want more of the right customers to find it.
